DANIELLE AND TIM'S ENGAGEMENT SHOOT SESSION

Harkness State Park, Waterford, Connecticut

Engagement sessions are a great way to (get your feet wet) in a sense for your wedding day.  It helps get you comfortable being in front of the camera and can take away the photo anxiety that couples experience making for better, more relaxed photos on your wedding day.  It is a great way to get to know your photographer and for your photographer to get to know you.  Free of the time constraints of a wedding, the engagement session allows for you to relax in a natural setting and to enjoy.  I suggest going out dinner following your session and making an engagement day out of it.  

Connecticut has so many awesome engagement session locations.  As your photographer, I am familiar with most of them and can help find the best engagement session location for your personality and style.  My engagement session location finder has photos with location names to help you in the process.  

Danielle and Tim choose Harkness State Park for their engagement session. The park offers so much diversity of backgrounds and scenes is one location making it a premiere engagement session destination.  

The upper part of the park has great architectural scenes with the mansion and it garden pillars, steps walls and gates as well as three sets of flower gardens making for beautiful array of colors in the summer.  It offers a very manicured and elegant look to your photos.

The mid part of the park has open grass and tree areas with sweeping vistas of the Long Island Sound. It has more of a free flowing look to your photos.  

The lower section of the park takes on more of a natural vibe with the board walk to the ocean which then leads to the beach, shore, beach grass, dunes and rock jetty making for so many great spots for photos.  The sun follows us along the journey often culminating in beautiful sunset colors in the sky and water. 

Harkness park is a fabulous location for an engagement session and one of my favorites.  Great job Danielle and Tim on your engagement session!  It was wonderful to get to know you and spend the time together.
