“My fiancé and I just had our engagement session with John and had so much fun! We both went into it lacking confidence and feeling awkward BUT John put us at ease almost immediately! He was so helpful and encouraging and made us feel so comfortable! John has a way of making everything feel easy, and making every photo feel special! There was absolutely zero pressure to look a certain way or stick to a rigid timeline. The whole session felt very comfortable. We are from Western Mass and had absolutely no idea where we wanted to take our photos. John recommended several beautiful locations so the amount of research we had to do was very minimal. The turn around time for the photos was insanely fast!!! I still can’t believe how quickly he got our photos back to us! And our photos came out absolutely stunning!! I don’t think I’ll ever get over how beautiful they are! I am so excited to have John join us on our wedding day and be our photographer again! “John was the photographer for our 50th wedding anniversary celebration, and we truly cannot say enough about him. From the very beginning, his pre-planning, attention to detail, organization, and professional yet friendly approach gave us complete confidence. He has a remarkable ability to make people feel relaxed and comfortable, and it shows in the incredible photographs he creates.
I first met John as a photography instructor. He led outdoor and landscape photography workshops, and I still refer to the notes and techniques he shared with us. What we didn't realize at first was just how versatile John is. We knew he was an exceptional wedding photographer, but when we explained to him this was a 50th anniversary celebration rather than a wedding, he didn't skip a beat. He immediately understood our vision and seamlessly adapted his strategy., He knew exactly how to capture the spirit of the event.

Throughout the evening, John was constantly "reading the room." He knew exactly when to capture guests on the dance floor, photograph family interactions, document activities, or simply let people enjoy the moment without feeling interrupted. One of the highlights of the evening was a family scavenger hunt, and John perfectly captured the energy, laughter, and friendly competition. Ours is a family that loves to dance, and his photos beautifully preserve that excitement and joy.
During the year leading up to our celebration, John met with us several times over Zoom to discuss our plans. He went above and beyond by listening carefully to our vision and offering thoughtful, creative ideas that enhanced the evening in ways we never would have imagined.
