There are many different ways to take photos on the wedding day.  Each couple has different ideas of what is important to them regarding photos on their wedding day.  This list below is a general list of the common things couples ask to have photographed on their wedding day and general suggested times needed.

 

Getting ready/groom prep groom photos list

(recommend time 1 hour to 1.5 hours)

 

• Details shots jacket, cufflinks, tie, shoes, watch, boutonnieres
• Groom putting on cufflinks, vest, tie jacket, shoes
• Best man, groomsmen or father helping groom get dressed
• Mother of groom, groomsmen, father of groom putting on boutonniere
• Invitation and rings detail photos
• Portraits of the groom sitting, standing etc.
• Groom with individual groomsmen photos
• Groomsmen getting ready
• Groom with all groomsmen
• Groom with father and or father of bride
• Groom reading letter or opening gift from bride
• First look groom with groom’s mother

 

Getting ready/bride prep bride photo list

(recommended time 1.5 hour to 2 hours)

 

• Details shots dress hanging, dress with shoes, rings, invitations, jewelry, flowers
• Bride getting into dress
• Mother or maid of honor lacing/closing dress up in back
• Bride putting on earrings, neckless, bracelets
• Portraits of the bride, sitting, standing, close up, full length
• Portraits of the bride with flowers
• Bride with individual bridesmaid photos.
• Bride with bridesmaids together photo
• Bride with mother, brides with mother of the groom
• Bride reading letter and exchanging gifts from groom

• Additional shots.   Brides with bridesmaids in pajamas and robes, bridesmaids toasting, (add 20 minutes to 30 minutes) including dressing time.
