BRIGHID AND RUSSELL'S WEDDING

Theme weddings are in-whether it is a barn wedding, farm wedding, brewery wedding or in the case of 19 Main Wedding Venue, a historic old bank in downtown New Milford.  Many of the original features of the historic bank remain including the safe deposit boxes and vaults. Brighid and Russel were married on 7/23/2022 so of course I had to get a detail ring photo with their rings on safe deposit box #723. Also inside the vault were the table seating cards which made it fun for the guests to tour the vault while finding their table.   The detail photos wouldn't be complete without a photo of Brighid's dress hanging in the vault

Brighid and Russel's wedding was all about friends and family.  Their children made up a big part of the wedding party and kids and family were a big part of their wedding day hence the large number of family photos taken.  Brighid and Russel were a fun loving couple.  Many of the photos captured that fun loving spirit.  
 

We start the wedding day with photos of Russel and his groomsmen. The focus was doing the portraits of the groomsmen and Russel before the ceremony  so they could enjoy the cocktail hour.  Some photos were taken of Russel and his kids as well that made for some great photos. 

Next came the getting ready "bride prep" of Brighid and her bridesmaids. Her mom and bridesmaids and children were present.  After the indoor photos, we went outside for more portraits of Brighid and her bridesmaids and children.  

The owner of 19 Main also owns the movie theatre.  A nice nice touch they provide to the couples is to have their name and wedding date on the movie theatre marquis.  So of course Brighid and Russel had to have their first look under the movie theatre marquis.  We followed their first look with portraits of the bridal party in downtown New Milford. 

Weather can be an uncontrollable thing on the wedding day. Such was this case for their wedding.  It was a hot one!!  A heat advisory was in affect with temperatures up in the mid 90s.  By the time we were ready for the first look, the temperatures were getting too hot to be outside.  We had to move pretty quick on the outdoor photos and then moved  inside for the rest of the wedding photos. 

It is now time for their wedding ceremony.  Fortunately we had the ceremony indoors with the air condition in the large room of the venue.  Highlights of the ceremony included the reading of their personal vows which was very emotional as well as a sand ceremony with Brighid and Russell and all their children. Each child participated  by added their colored sand to the complete the mix.

After the ceremony we braved the heat for a few portraits of Brighid and Russell outdoors. 

Now it is time for their fun packed reception.  It was a great time.  Russel and Brighid were fun loving people and it showed itself all day long and all the way through their reception.  Toasts were given by the maid of honor and best man and Brighid's brother.  Parent dances, cake cutting and even some fun photos outside! Their wedding reception culminated with crowd surfing by the bride and groom.  What a crazy fun wedding reception.
