BEACH ENGAGEMENT SESSION

Watch Hill, Rhode Island

Memorial Day is the summer kick off in New England and no better way to kick off the summer season then an engagement session at Watch Hill, Rhode Island with Emily and Greg.  When the engagement session location chosen by the couple as special significance, I feel it adds something more special to the photos.  Emily and Greg chose Watch Hill because of the significance it played in their lives for many reasons.  This was the spot where Great proposed to Emily.  Also this is where Greg's family has a house and where Emily and Greg spent their summer days on the beach.  We did the engagement session on Thursday right before Memorial Day weekend so the crowds hadn't arrived and we had the whole beach to ourselves.  

Emily and Greg had such a great time on their engagement session.  They played, they laughed, they jumped, ran and loved as they shared many tender moments.  I always try to mix a balance of candid moments as well as classic portraits into the sessions as well as incorporating the various different types of light including front lighting, side lighting and backlighting with the sun setting over the dunes.

Emily and Greg wanted to get some silhouette photos at the marina so we finished their session at the marina graced with beautiful orange colors in the sky.  What an epic engagement session Emily and Greg.  It was so awesome working with you and capturing these magic moments of your special day.  I look forward to your wedding day and doing it all again.
