East Haddam, Connecticut
June is here and summer has officially arrived. With greenery covering the hills and the warm days of summer upon us we begin our wedding day with getting ready photos of John and his groomsmen at the hotel.
After finishing up with the guys it was time for Joslyn getting ready photos. We started off with a little make up touch up with Joslyn followed by some jammy shots with the girls and then mom helping Joslyn get into her dress, put on her earrings and getting all ready.
Having a first look with the bride's dad or step dad in this case is a great addition to the getting ready photos. It can easily done after the bride is all dressed. Here a first look is done with Joslyn and her step dad followed by a family portrait.
I took some photos of the groom and groomsmen at the hotel before heading to Eagle Landing for a first look with the bride and groom and portraits of the couple and wedding party.
With the guys at Eagle Landing I took some photos of the groom until the limo showed up with the bride and bridesmaids.
The girls arrived in the limo and after some limo photos it was time for Joslyn and John's fist look followed by portraits at Eagle Landing on the Connecticut River.
There is so much history at Eagle Landing on the Connecticut River. The East Haddam Swing Bridge and Goodspeed Opera House in the distance along with the river make for a beautiful backdrop for photos. Next came bridal party photos before heading to the Riverhouse at Goodspeed Station for their wedding reception.
We had some time before the wedding ceremony to do family portraits and photos on the staircase entrance.
Time for Joslyn and John's wedding ceremony in the outdoor patio.
As the sun set lower in the sky it was a nice time for some photos of the bride and groom on the back deck.
Reception time had arrived. The reception room was so beautifully decorated. We started off with introductions of the bridal party and bride and groom followed by a first dance with the bride and groom and toasts.
After dinner it was time for cake cutting, lots of great dancing ending off the evening with a sparkler exit. What a wedding day of joy and love. Joslyn and John you both were amazing and made for such a heartfelt beautiful wedding day. Thank you so much for sharing your love with each other.
