REBECCA AND TOM'S TREE HOUSE FARM ENGAGEMENT SHOOT/SESSION

Bluebird Farm, Willington, Connecticut

I want engagement sessions to be very personal experience for the couples I work with.  I set up an engagement session  meeting with each couple to find out the style, them and type of engagement session they want and then help find the perfect engagement session location for them be it a beach or coastal session, city or town, forest or in this case a tree house and farm stay engagement session.

During out initial meeting Rebecca and Tom wanted a farm theme engagement session.  A few months later they shared some thoughts for wanting an air b and b stay-over engagement session incorporating the farm idea. I had the perfect location in mind for them at Bluebird Farm in Willington, Connecticut.  Having photographed a wedding there before,  I was familiar with the farm and the wonderful animals  on the farm.  In the recent year they built a tree house air b and b which would make for the perfect location for their session. How cool to have and engagement session on the farm and stay overnight in a tree house. Rebecca and Tom loved the idea.  I reached out to Carmen at Bluebird Farm and her son Joe and helped make the arrangements for the engagement session.

Carmen was there to greet us when we arrived and brought all the goats, sheep and brought out a baby lamb for Rebecca to hold.

One of the goats had a thing for Tom and wanted to become good friends. It was hilarious and made for some great smiles, laughs and candid moments.
Bluebird Farm has this really friendly cat that followed us around the farm and posed for some photos.
There are numerous of outbuildings on the farm making for some great backdrops and scenes for their photos.

A nice field/ pasture the animals use in the summer makes for some expansive photos capturing the beauty of the farm.

After strolling around the various areas of the farm and taking photos we went to the tree house where I took a few more photos before leaving them alone to enjoy their stay at the tree house.  It was a blast spending the time with Tom and Rebecca and the animals on Bluebird Farm.  They enjoyed their session so much and their stay in the tree house.  What  a nice getaway and way to nurture their relationship and time together.  A special thanks to Carmen and her son Joe at Bluebird Farm for helping make their engagement session dreams come true.
