ALLY AND ANTHONY'S WEDDING

Aqua Turf Club, Plantsville, Connecticut

Ally and Anthony's wedding extravaganza started off with Anthony and his groomsmen getting ready at the hotel.  Photos included Anthony getting ready and his groomsmen having a toast, portraits of the groomsmen with Anthony and a cigar break.

Ally's getting ready photos were packed with so many special happenings as you will shortly see.  I will go into them a bit more depth later on but for now I will share some photos of Ally getting ready with the help of her bridesmaid and then a special "first look" with her dad.

Next Ally did a "first look" with her bridesmaids followed by portraits of Ally with her bridesmaids and photos of Ally and her parents.

We temporarily had Ally go into the other room and close the door so we could do a "first look" with Anthony and his mom.

But wait there is more!  We had Anthony go back out in the hall so that Ally could come out and I set up a "first touch" with Ally and Anthony.  A "first touch" is like a "first look" but the couple don't get to see each other, instead they can only touch and talk to each other from each side of the door.  It was a moving sequence of  anticipation, laughs, tears and moments of warm sentiments and prayers for their wedding day and life together.

With all the getting ready photos finished I took some limo photos of Anthony as he left the hotel and headed to the venue.

We arrived at Aqua Turf and were blessed with a relatively mild mid February day.  I think the temperatures got into the 50s so it made for some great time outside for their portraits. I started off with portraits of Anthony and his groomsmen.

Ally arrived next in the limo with her bridesmaids so they were the next to photograph.

Next came their wedding ceremony in the lovely chapel at Aqua Turf Club.

The ceremony was held up quite a bit due to guests arriving late and dusk came upon us very quickly after the ceremony.  By using off camera lighting techniques and taking advantage of the blue hour and night sky I was able to create stunning blue light and night portraits.

With the portraits complete it was time for the reception in the wagon room at Aquaturf.  They started off the evening with introductions of the bridal part, a first dance with Ally and Anthony and toasts by the best man and maid of honor.

Next came the parent dances.  A mother son dance and father daughter dance.

DJ Lupo opened up the dance floor with great music, dancing and lots of fun on the dance floor.

We took a brief break for cake cutting and then more great times on the dance floor.

What an incredible wedding day extravaganza.  We ended the night with some limo photos as Ally and Antony headed off on their new lives together as husband and wife.
