JESSICA AND BILLY'S WEDDING

April brings a changing of the seasons and the approach of spring. The weather starts warming, flowers bloom in abundance and the beginning of wedding season in Connecticut begins.  Jessica and Billy's wedding starts off the spring wedding season for me.  Their wedding started off with the guys getting ready at the best man's home in Sandy Hook, Connecticut.  Every wedding and every couple I photograph is different.  I try to capture the personality of the couples I work with an their friends.  As you can see from the photos Billy and his groomsmen loved to joke around and so I tried to bring that out in their photos. 

With the guys dressed and ready we stepped outside for some portraits of the guys.  Spring was in the air and it was nice to take in the new buds and flowers blooming. 

With the guy's photos complete, it was time to go to the Heritage Hotel in Southbury and start the getting ready photos with Jessica and her bridesmaids. 

Jessica wanted to do a first look with her dad so I set things up for that to happen. 

Some portraits of Jessica's bridesmaids and family came next.  

Their indoor ceremony in the garden room was short and sweet.

Cocktail hour portraits come next including family photos, photos of Jessica and her bridesmaids, the wedding party together and photos of Jessica and Jessica and Billy. 

With the cocktail hour photos finished it is time to kick off the reception. We start with a first dance with Jessica and Billy followed by a father daughter dance and mother son dance and toasts by the best man and maid of honor.  
Sometimes children come before the wedding day and sometimes children coming to be are incorporated into the wedding day celebration.  Jessica and Billy had a little one on the way and did a gender reveal to introduce the news to everybody.    

Their reception continued with cake cutting, reverse table photos, a bouquet toss and garter toss and lots of great times on the dance floor.  What a wonderful wedding celebration Jessica and Billy.
