PAMELA AND KERON'S WEDDING

Woodwinds,  Branford, Connecticut

James Blackstone Memorial Library

 Rose Vineyards, Branford, Connecticut

Wedding season started early this year in 2024 with the colorful Caribbean wedding of Pamela and Keron on March 8th.  Mild spring weather blessed their wedding day affording the opportunity for portraits outside at Rose Vineyards.  Pamela's family was from the Dominican Republic and Keron's family was from Jamaica.  Many of the family members flew in for the wedding day.  We start the wedding day with getting ready photos of Keron and the Baymont Inn and Suites in Branford.

Pamela gets ready next for the wedding day. I started with make up photos, dress hanging and detail photos of the rings, shoes and invitations followed by photos of Pamela getting into her dress, putting on jewelry and bridal portraits with window lighting. Her mom and sister helped her get into her dress.

Pamela wanted her wedding portraits photographed at the Blackstone Memorial Library in Branford so we headed there next. The Blackstone Memorial Library was built in 1890s.  It is made of all stone with stone spiral staircases inside, stone columns and a vaulted ceiling.  It is a beautiful place for having wedding portraits and engagement sessions in the colder, wet and or inclimate weather.

Rose Vineyard was another place that Pamela wanted wedding portraits at. Since it was almost dark by the time we would be at Woodwinds we took advantage of the daylight we had to capture more beautiful photos of Pamela and her family followed by some photos of Keron as the day turned to dusk.

We head to the Woodwinds next.  Pamela left early to go to the bridal suite so that Keron would not see her at Rose Vineyard.  With the light at the blue hour, I took some photos of Keron and his family at the venue before going in for their wedding ceremony.

The ceremony comes next with the wedding procession followed by readings from the bible, a translator, bread and wine ceremony and a unity candle ceremony and blessing.  Personal vows as well as tears and laughter were shared all throughout their beautiful ceremony.

We took some time during the cocktail for portraits on the stairs with Keron, Pamela followed by some night photos outside the Woodwinds.

With the cocktail hour photos completed it was time for their reception to begin.  Introductions and a first dance started things off followed by toasts and cake cutting and a bouquet toss.  It was a fantastic way to start off the 2024 wedding season and I thank Pamela and Keron for an amazing wedding day.
