SPRING ENGAGEMENT SESSION

April is here and yes spring is in the air.  Birds are singing, buds and leaves are bursting forth and so too are engagement sessions. Hint, hint for those couples getting married in the late summer and autumn there still is time to have your engagement session photos for your save the dates and invitations.  

Clients often ask me where should they have their engagement session?  Topsmead State Forest comes to mind as a great engagement session location anytime of the year, spring, summer, winter and fall.  Topsmead packs so much into one location including beautiful architecture, sweeping landscapes, fields and hills, orchards, ancient trees and some most amazing sunsets. You can't go wrong.  So lets jump into the engagement session of Rosa and Nathan at Topsmead Forest, in Litchfield, Connecticut.  Rosa and Nathan brought some really cute props with them with their wedding date and signs so we incorporated them into the session. 

I like to play with light during the engagement sessions and incorporate various types of light including side lighting, front lighting and backlighting. It creates a nice variety in the photos I provide to my clients and helps accent their beauty.  I also like to combine a variety of styles from candid to classic so couples have a nice variety to choose from.  My engagement collections average about 100 photos per session so you have lots of beautiful photos to cherish and use for your save the dates, invitations, and wedding reception.  

With the sun setting it was time to bring this wonderful engagement session to a close. Rosa and Nathan it really was an honor and joy to work with you and capture these awesome photos of you both on your engagement session.  The love you share with each other is a gift not only to each other but to the world.  I can't wait for your wedding day.
