When it comes to engagement sessions, Connecticut has it all! Coastal beaches and parks, inland waterfalls, hills and forests, farms and fields, rustic settings and even Castles! Such was the location for Joslyn and John's engagement session. Gillette Castle is a famous Connecticut landmark with stunning views overlooking the Connecticut River. Within the park are are many beautiful stone features including the castle, steps, bridges and walls. It is a great place to incorporate these elements into the photo session. Joslyn and John flew in from out of state for a short visit and to have their engagement session. Thunderstorms were predicted for the afternoon, so I suggested a last minute start time change to the morning when the weather pattern was more favorable. The time changed for a morning shoot worked great! We had a nice mixture of sunlight and slight overcast that made for many beautiful photos. It was great spending the time with Joslyn and John. I find it make a big difference to get to know your clients better and they get more comfortable with the photography process which lends itself to better images on the wedding day. Great job Joslyn and John for a fun session.
