Every couple is unique and I do my best through the various planning meetings with my clients to get a sense of their wedding photography style and desires for their photos. Sammi and Kelsey wanted to have their love of fun and playfulness expressed in their photos. So I did my best incorporate elements of that in the photos on their shoot list. Their December weddings added some elements of the Christmas Season as well in their photos and luckily the weather wasn't terribly cold so what we could quickly go outside for a first look and portraits before their ceremony.
We start off with Kelsey getting ready (groom prep) photos. During the groom prep photos I like to add photos of the groom with all his groomsmen and family etc. But in the interest of keeping the blog post within limits I only shared a few of those photos.
With the guys finished it was time for the getting ready photos of Sammi and her bridesmaids along with some family photos with her mother and sister.
After the getting ready photos we went outside for Sammi and Kelsey's first look followed by portraits of them together on the beautiful grounds at the Water's Edge by the sea. Following, were some photos of the bridal party and family portraits.
As the sun started to get low in the sky we went inside for their wedding ceremony. After their wedding ceremony there was a cocktail hour, with some time for family photos and candid portraits and wedding reception detail photos.
Next, the celebration continued with the main part of their reception including the introductions, first dance with Sammi and Kelsey, parent dances, toasts and lots of fun and celebration on the dance floor.
What an amazing wedding day. The feeling of love, support and celebration was off the charts. A special thanks to all the family and friends that helped make their wedding be such an amazing event.
