CHRIS AND ASHLEY'S WEDDING

We started off the wedding day with getting ready (bride prep) photos at Ashley's mother's house.  Details photos of her dress and shoes were followed with photos of her mom helping her get dressed.  Then came photos of Ashley followed by photos of Ashley with her bridesmaids.  Bride prep photos give a great opportunity for intimate time with the bride's loved ones and can make for such moving and beautiful photos.  
With the getting ready (bride prep) photos finished, we headed to Hubbard Park for a first look with Chris and Ashley followed by portraits of the bride and groom, wedding party and family portraits.  This being an October wedding, it would be dark by the time the cocktail hour happened so we moved all the portraits up before the ceremony and did them all at the park.  Starting in October and even more so after daylight savings time changes, the days become very short and many weddings are scheduled to have portraits done during the cocktail hour in the dark.  So I work with all my couples to revise their timeline to make for portraits during the daylight hours whenever possible. 

Chris and Ashley had their wedding ceremony and reception at Testas Banquet Facility in Southington, Connecticut. They had a beautiful wedding ceremony with a reading and sand ceremony.  They read personal vows which was very touching as well. 
Testas does a beautiful job with their up lighting and decorations.  The tables looked great and the reception venue was all beautifully lit and ready for a beautiful celebration.  Their wedding reception started off with introductions, a first dance with the bride and groom followed by two parent dances and toasts.  The hosts at Testas were fantastic.  Chis and Ashley's wedding had a sweet/candy bar, followed by cake cutting and lots of amazing dancing.  Chris' family came all the way from Texas for the reception and brought so much fun and love.  It was an incredible wedding reception filled with fun, and laughter and love.  

Sometimes couples ask should I hire a videographer for my wedding?  Video can be a wonderful compliment to photography.  They both capture different elements of the wedding in their unique ways.  Justin Sevilla of Villa Entertainment is an awesome videographer and I always love working with him.  We work together as a great solid team and I can't recommend him enough.
